Abstract

In this paper, the Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy (TS) model in delta-operator form is proposed for fuzzy modeling of the nonlinear systems, then the problem of analysis and linear matrix inequality (LMI) based design of the fuzzy controller and the fuzzy observer for nonlinear system is considered. It is shown that the resulting closed-loop system is globally stable and the fuzzy controller and the fuzzy observer can be obtained by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities that is numerically feasible with commercially available software. In other words, it is shown that the separation principle of the controller and observer design is still maintained for delta-domain TS fuzzy model.
