Abstract

Summary An uncommon cause of dysuria Intravesical administration of Bacille-Calmette-Guerin (BCG) has become a mainstay of adjunctive therapy for superficial bladder cancer. We present the case of a 61-year-old male patient with dysuria six years after intravesical BCG immunotherapy as part of treatment for superficial bladder cancer. The patient developed further complications in addition to dysuria. We discuss the epidemi o logy and pathogenesis of this rare complication and the therapeutic options.
