Abstract

In systems with one degree of freedom no mechanism for the excitation of self-oscillations other than negative friction (or negative resistance) can exist. However, in systems with one and a half degrees of freedom, along with negative friction, another, less known mechanism is widespread. The excitation of oscillations in such systems is conditioned by the so-called inertial interaction between dynamical variables occurring as a result of inertiality in the negative feedback loop. Self-oscillatory systems with such mechanism of excitation were called by Babitsky and Landa systems with inertial excitation [20, 21]. They are widely met in studies of many physical and engineering problems.KeywordsSingular PointChaotic AttractorLorenz SystemHelmholtz ResonatorLorenz EquationThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
