Abstract
The growing trend toward developing complex software systems has highlighted the need to build software Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) into the system model. This research proposes a Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) approach in Reactive Autonomic Systems (RAS) whose architecture, configuration, and self-monitoring of the NFR at runtime are specified in a single formal framework. The proposed Reactive Autonomic System Framework (RASF) in this paper has required expressive power to model the RAS, NFR and their runtime self-monitoring mechanism, which mechanism is implemented by an intelligent control loop to collect data, analyze them and provide timely feedback on the NFR satisfaction.
