Abstract

The article discusses the relevance of self-regulation in the field of microfinance organizations and the need to protect the rights of financial services consumers. The main principles and measures of the basic standard for protecting clients’ rights are described, as well as the importance of controlling the activities of MFOs. The authors discuss the effectiveness of the current self-regulation model and offer a number of recommendations for improving the control system and protecting the interests of clients.
