Abstract

A wideband self-packaged bandpass filter is investigated with a compact footprint in this paper. Quarter-wavelength stripline resonators are deployed with coplanar waveguide structures in a multilayered structure. The demonstrated 8-pole prototype has a center frequency of 12 GHz, a 50% fractional bandwidth and a compact footprint of 0.22 by 0.28 wavelength square of 12 GHz in the free space. Measured results show that the proposed filter has a miniature size, high selectivity and small losses. It is a promising candidate for the wideband wireless system.
