Abstract

Regular and oriented silver nanocrystalline arrays loaded on the surface of cubic mesoporous silica MCM-48 material was obtained by an approach of impregnation followed by thermal treatment. The self-assembly of Ag clusters at a suitable temperature influenced by the periodic surface stress field of the ordered mesopore structures is believed to lead to the ordered Ag nanoarrays.
