Abstract
A one-dimensional spin-1/2 dimerized linear antiferromagnetic Heisenberg chain is investigated basing on the continuum representation of the model Hamiltonian at zero temperature. The dependence of the energy gap and the energy density of the ground state upon the distortion strength of the model is obtained. It is shown that there exists a pure power-law behavior, which is close to the results predicted by other authors.
