Abstract
Oblique incidence of electromagnetic waves onto stratified periodic gyrotropic structures is considered. Gyrotropic properties of this multilayered medium are stipulated by the effect of an external magnetic field. By means of the matrix method the dependence of intensity of reflected and transmitted waves on the angle of incidence, number of cells and strength of external magnetic field are obtained. Such a structure, exhibiting the selective reflection of electromagnetic waves, can be used as the polarization converter controlled by a magnetic field.
