Abstract

This article combines the fundamental Newton's equation of motion with the auxiliary differential equation (ADE) method, the Newton-ADE-FDTD iterative formula of isotropic time-varying plasma with oblique incidence of electromagnetic wave is derived. The biggest difference between this method and the common ADE-FDTD method is that the derivative of the logarithm of the electron density of the time-varying plasma is added to the updated equation of the current density. This method is used to calculate the reflection coefficient of electromagnetic wave entering the unmagnetized time-varying plasma slab at different incident angles, and compared with the analytical solution and the ADE-FDTD method, the results show that the Newton-ADE-FDTD method is correct and effective.
