Abstract
AbstractA heteroditopic anion receptor, bearing one pyrrolic amide site and a urea site, has been synthesized. UV‐Vis spectrum studies in CH3CN solution revealed that the receptor had higher anion binding ability than the homoditopic one. A naked‐eye detectable color change, from colorless to yellow, of the receptor solution took place when fluoride was added, which indicates that the receptor has potential application to selective colorimetric fluoride sensing.
