Abstract

Abstract The main idea of the article is the technology of selective laser sintering of metallic powder stainless steel 316L investigation to manufacture of products mainly thin-walled, complex geometric shapes. The relationship between parameters of the technological modes of the sintering process and the wall thickness of the obtained products is determined. Comparison of characteristics according to the mass and dimensions of the finished product to the specified parameters of the 3D-CAD model has been performed. Within the framework of the research, a strict relationship between the mechanical characteristics and the fusion regimes along with the direction of construction (DC) is shown. Dependences of the quality of the manufactured product on the technological regimes and the example two thin walled samples on the physical and mechanical properties and on the finished product are established. General recommendations for the practical use of the technology in the creation of products with a complex geometric shape are given.
