Abstract

Summary PT PHR as a leading energy company has a vision to become a world-class energy company. The BNG field is part of the area of work of PT PHR Zone 4 whose main production is natural gas and the plan is to be commercialized as a sale of gas. The gas produced from the BNG field has a CO2 content of 18% so it does not meet the specification of the limit set in the Agreement for the Sale of Gas between the PHR and the Consumer which amounts to 8% CO2 contents so that the gas from BNG fields are blending with gas from the MSB fields which have a low CO2 concentration to be further distributed to consumers mixing gas from both such fields has a content of CO2 at a figure of 4-6% that is still below the limit Gas sale and purchase requirements (PJBG), the problem will occur in 2027 where the production of gas of BNG field will increase, while the forecast of deliverable gas field MSB is expected to decrease to 50% from 2024 so the content of the gas mixing will exceed the limit. (PJBG). To meet the requirement of sale, a study in the selection of CO2 Removal Technology Unit is required to be installed to complete the Production Facility in the BNG field area. The author uses methodologies empirically and according to the field conditions to effective research goals. The writer uses a conceptual study framework. Quantitative data is obtained from data within the company, while qualitative data comes from discussions with the team and based on journals or studies that have been previously compiled. In addition, data from some kind of literature is also used in analysing the selection of gas-sweetening technologies. All necessary information and data are further analyzed in accordance with the conceptual framework. To ensure that the recommended operations management strategy is carried out through technical analysis, a study of mathematical models is conducted using some tested business strategy tools.
