Abstract
Selection-and-stay combining (SSTC) is addressed and its outage probability is derived for dual-branch diversity on correlated Nakagami fading channels. In the SSTC scheme, the receiver uses the branch with a larger signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) until its SNR is lower than a preset threshold, and selection combining (SC) is used only at the switching instance. Numerical results from analyses and simulations are also presented.
