Abstract

Immune Tolerance and Autoimmune DiseaseCambridge, UK, 26–27 April 2012The recent Immune Tolerance and Autoimmune Disease conference was held at Emmanuel College Cambridge and organized in collaboration with Anne Cooke (Cambridge University, UK). The smoothly run and well-planned program allowed international experts, academics and scientists to share and discuss recent developments in the understanding of the basic mechanisms of immune tolerance, factors governing autoimmunity, mediators of autoimmunity and pathogenesis as well as strategies for therapeutic intervention. This report outlines some of the highlights from the first day of the conference.
