Abstract

The synchrosqueezing wavelet transform (SSWT) can capture the local frequency variation in the seismic data with high time and frequency resolutions. In this paper, we apply SSWT to perform several seismic data analysis tasks of the Boonsville field public dataset. A 3D time-frequency cube using SSWT, accumulated low frequency slice, single-trace time-frequency map and time-frequency slices with different frequency components can be utilized to give an overall description of frequency and structure anomalies existed in the seismic data. The application onto Boonsville dataset shows promising results using the proposed data analysis approaches.
