Abstract

In this letter, we present an adaptive method for linearizing radio frequency (RF) power amplifier (PA). The input and output error is segmented in light of the signal magnitude to improve the convergence speed of the linearizer’s parameter optimization. The feedback bandwidth and the sampling rate of the feedback loop are only 1/8 of the input signal with the proposed method. Experimental results show that the convergence speed of the proposed method is eight times faster than that of the conventional method, and the adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) is improved from −35.18 to −46.91 dB.
