Abstract

AbstractAn experimental study on batch cooling crystallization is presented here using four different materials, different seeding techniques, and different cooling profiles. The experimental results are analyzed with the aim of extracting some general rules for the dependence of seeding procedures on material properties. These rules are presented in the form of heuristic rules with the specific aim of providing guidelines on how to improve product quality (purity and size distribution) by using a seeding technique.
