Abstract

Analog circuit is one of the most important parts in many electronic systems. This paper proposes a novel evolutionary analog circuit synthesis scheme, and a new fault tolerance design strategy. The proposed scheme transforms the topology and size of circuitry to a uniformed continuous space, in which the circuit representation space is closure. The proposed fault tolerance design strategy takes the parameter drift of circuit component as a anti-noise issue, and deal with it in evolution precess. Experimental results show that the proposed circuit representation scheme and fault tolerance design strategy can work successfully on automatic analogy filter synthesis, as well as automatic fault tolerance design. Comparing with other evolutionary methods before, the proposed scheme performs better on large-scale problems of circuit synthesis with higher search efficiency, lower computational complexity, and less computing time. The proposed fault tolerance design strategy is of practice value in engineering applications.
