Abstract

Analog circuit is one of the most important parts in many electronic systems. Recent results of evolutionary design are usually small in circuit scale. This leads the crucial point of evolutionary design to the scalability of the solving problem. This paper proposed a novel real-coded mechanism and the evolutionary analog circuit synthesis scheme as a result. The proposed scheme transforms the topology and size of circuitry to a uniformed continuous space, in which the circuit representation is closed and of causality. The merit of the proposed scheme is that it uses the fast circuit analysis algorithm directly. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme can work successfully on many electronic circuits with different kinds of characteristics. Comparing with other evolutionary methods before, the proposed scheme performs better on large-scale problems of circuit synthesis with higher search efficiency, lower computational complexity, and less computing time.
