Abstract
This chapter presents miscellaneous papers. The study of the iterative optimization was a part of Rudd's thesis research and bears the marks of his ingenuity. It builds on the interest of random fluctuations and attempts to direct the steady state of a process by estimating derivatives through autocorrelation functions The chapter presents a short paper on a mechanism of autocatalysis which is of interest as it gives a case in which, during the course of reaction, there is a switch in stability between two pseudo-steady state relations.
