Abstract
Abstract This highlight review describes recent progress in thioamide-based transition-metal complexes, including their preparation methods and functionalities. In particular, pincer organometallics with secondary thioamide ligands are unique tools that can be used for applications in various areas such as chemical-sensor materials, tunable redox-potential complexes, polymer hybrid-luminescence materials, building blocks for multinuclear complexes, and catalysts for cross-coupling reactions.
