Abstract
The title compound 1 reacts by cycloaddition with diazoalkanes 2a and 2b to pyrazolines 3a and 3b and with nitrones 5a and 5b to isoxazolidines 6a and 6b. Reaction of 1 with diazofluorene yields the cyclopropane adduct 4. The reaction proceeds regio- and stereoselectively in high yields preserving the symmetry of the macrodiolide system.
