Abstract
The results of the charged strange quark matter search from central 11.6 A GeV/c Au + Pb collisions in experiment E864 at the BNL-AGS are presented. We have analysed the approximately 6 billion central interactions sampled during the 1995 run for positively and negatively charged strangelet candidates. The results of the 1995 analysis, in which our full calorimeter and high-mass trigger system were used, are nearly three orders of magnitude more sensitive than our 1994 results, and are the best and most model independent sensitivities at AGS energies.
