Abstract
The efficiency of combined positron emission and computer tomography in the diagnosis of primary metastatic lymph nodes of the neck was analyzed. It was established that in 34% fully examined patients was identified the primary tumor. In 32% of patients was detected distant metastases to other organs and lymph nodes. In more than 60% of patients using this method provided additional information and influence on the tactics of their treatment. Thus we believe that PET-CT should be included in diagnostic algorithm of this category of patients.

Summary
ГБОУ ВПО «Воронежский государственный медицинский университет им. ООО «Межрегиональный медицинский центр ранней диагностики и лечения онкологических заболеваний», ул. Проведен анализ эффективности совмещенной позитронно-эмиссионной томографии и компьютерной томографии (ПЭТ-КТ) в диагностике первично-метастатического поражения лимфоузлов шеи. Установлено, что у 34% полностью обследованных больных удалось выявить первичный очаг. Более чем у 60% обследованных пациентов результаты ПЭТ-КТ повлияли на тактику их лечения. Считаем, что ПЭТ-КТ должна быть включена в алгоритм обследования данной категории больных.
