Abstract

Community service is the activity of a lecturer in carrying out the tridharma obligations of higher education. Likewise with lecturers with a background in mechanical engineering. The aim of preparing this article is to obtain the results of a review of community service activities in the field of mechanical engineering. The review was prepared based on the results of a library search of publications on community service activities. The references obtained are then categorized based on the type of partner business, number of partners and form of activity. The results of the review show that there are five types of business in the field of mechanical engineering, where welding workshops are the ones with the most activity partners. Technical training is the most common form of activity. The results of this review can be a consideration for those implementing community service activities in the field of mechanical engineering to design activities that have high novelty value.
