Abstract
Statistics of observed durations of scintillation fades and enhancements on the Olympus satellite 20 GHz downlink are presented for various threshold signal levels and atmospheric turbulence intensities. During weak turbulence most signal amplitude deviations from mean level were shortlived (<1 s). Distribution of fade durations at thresholds > 0.8 dB were reasonably well approximated by the lognormal function.
