EDELSON USN THE AUTHOR graduated from U.S. Naval Academy in June 1947. Attended U.S. Naval Post-Graduate Schools in Annapolis and Monterery, Calif, in 1951–52 in Mechanical Engineering. Selected for ONR advanced. Science course and attended Yale University. Received M.S. in Metallurgy from Yale 1954. Masters' Thesis: “Torsional Relaxation of Polycrystalline Cadmium as a Function of Surface Phenomena.” He is now doing research for his doctorate thesis in Metallurgy at Case Institute of Technology, Cleveland, Ohio. Upon receiving his commission he spent four years with the Pacific Fleet first on Destroyers, then as executive officer of a mine sweeper, and finally on CINCPACFLT staff before going to P.G. School After P.G. School was selected as Engineering Duty Officer and was assigned as Electronics Officer on the staff of COMSERVRON TWO. Now serving as Planning Officer, Office of the Resident Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Cleveland, Ohio.
