Abstract

Scattering of electromagnetic waves by an array of perfectly conducting rectangular cylinders embedded in a dielectric slab is analysed by a numerical procedure based on an integral-equation technique. From the solution of the integral equation one obtains the induced surface currents on the surface of the scatterers. These induced surface currents are, in turn, used to compute the transmitted and reflected powers. Results obtained are checked against those available in the literature and excellent agreement has been observed. Results are also presented which show interesting physical phenomena.
