Scanning electron microscopy radioautography by emulsion and polymer track detectors

Abstract

ABSTRACT The paper deals with introdusing SEM in radioautography by classical nuclear emulsion and possibility to use PTD. We have observed individual AgBr grains by SEM and alpha tracks on the developed emulsion, as well. L cells line as free cells labelled with 3 H-thymidine for SEMR by emulsion was used. PTD are suitable for SEMR as reverse side etched. Electron beam response of thermoset plastics CR 39 and thin layer monomer polymerisation over specimen indicated application in SEM alpha and fragment radioautography.
