Scaling Behavior of Inclusive Pion Electroproduction

Abstract

We report new measurements of inclusive pion electroproduction. Data were taken with deuterium and hydrogen targets at the $W$ and ${Q}^{2}$ points (2.15 GeV, 1.2 Ge${\mathrm{V}}^{2}$), (2.15, 4.0) and (3.11, 1.2) and with only hydrogen at (2.15, 2.0), (2.67, 0.6), (2.67, 1.2), (2.67, 2.0), (2.67, 3.3), and (3.11, 1.7). The invariant structure function and the $\frac{{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}}{{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}}$ ratio are studied as a function of ${Q}^{2}$, $W$, and $\ensuremath{\omega}$.
