Abstract

Road transport as an open system is subject to constant changes. In modern business conditions, road transport companies that perform public transport of passengers and / or goods use modern information and communication technologies both in the transport process and in the entire business, with the aim of providing a better transport service and ensuring an adequate level of competitiveness in the transport market. The increasingly diverse demands of transport service users are forcing trucking companies to raise the quality of transport services through improvements to the transport process and the provision of certain resources. One of the most important resources for improving transport services is certainly information and communication technologies. They contribute to a significant improvement of the overall transport process by trucking companies through a much more efficient transport process and a better quality offer for users of transport services.
