Abstract

Paintings by some of America’s foremost representational painters decked the walls of two of London’s oldest arts institutions in summer 2010: the Royal Academy of Arts featured early marine scenes by John Singer Sargent, while across town the Dulwich Picture Gallery showcased work by various members of the Wyeth clan.
