Abstract

Due to ease of fabrication, Perovskite Solar cells (PSCs) are one of the emerging photovoltaics. Generally, PSC fabrication employs gold as a contact electrode of about 80 nm. However, gold contact electrode is expensive and creates severe obstacles for large-area applications of PSCs. In the present work, we have focused on the gold contact layer's sandwich structure (Au/Cu/Au). We have modified the gold contact layer thickness from 80 nm to 40 nm by inserting a 40 nm copper layer between two 20 nm gold layers (20 nm Au/40 nm Cu/20 nm Au). The fabricated PSCs with an active area of 1.5 cm2 signify that power conversion efficiency is up to 6.26 %.
