In this article we aim at exploring the concept of “sustainable development”, for what concerns its connections with health in general and with food-related health in particular. We will take an interdisciplinary perspective pooling together philosophy and law, first describing the ethical issues at stake, then exploring law-related aspects and, finally, summarizing the main results that we hope will be useful for the current academic debate and, why not, for actual life practices.
