Abstract
Self-expandable metal stent (SEMS) insertion has been known to be effective and safe for palliation of obstructive primary colorectal cancer. However, the clinical outcomes of stent placement for colorectal obstruction from extracolonic malignancies are controversial. The aim of this study is to compare the outcomes of SEMS insertion between primary colorectal cancer (CRC) and extracolonic malignancy (ECM) groups.
