Abstract

Impulsivity represents one of the pivotal characteristics of bipolar disorder (BD). Structural magnetic resonance imaging techniques have already demonstrated a relationship between high levels of impulsivity and reduced subcortical and limbic structure volumes in subjects with cocaine abuse, depression, and borderline personality disorder. However, such relationship has not established yet in BP. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between impulsivity and limbic and subcortical volumes in patients with BD.
