Russian tourism under western sanctions and restrictions: reality, trends, prospects

Abstract

Within the framework of this publication, the author examines the impact of Western sanctions caused by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on the Russian tourism industry. The text of the article reflects the current state, consequences and possible prospects for the development of Russian tourism due to the existing restrictions caused by the current geopolitical crisis. The author studied the situation that has developed in Russian tourism as a result of the conflict at the level of both international and domestic tourism. The dynamics shows statistical tourism indicators that determine the growth and regression of domestic tourism in recent years. The issues of legal regulation of Russian tourism are touched upon, the vectors of the future development of domestic tourism are reflected, taking into account the support from the tourist community and the state.
