The Russian path of the world-renowned scientist professor Jan Kvačala in Dorpat-Yuryev at the Theological Faculty. Author's archival discoveries at the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkin House), Russian Academy of Sciences, and at the Bratislava University (Kvačala's personal fund). Publication of L. Bernat's sources in Slovakia. Kvačala's role in the development of Russian and European science. Inter-Slavic cultural relations. Laureate of the Professor Kotlyarevsky Prize. Participation in the Komensky' Society in St. Petersburg. Relations with the Russian humanities scientists (Lamansky, Modzalevsky, Budilovich, Nechaev, Grabar family, Vvedensky, etc.). Kvačala is a supporter of Theological Faculty reform at Dorpat University. Kvačala's contribution to Komeniology and the history of philosophy. His evacuation to Voronezh (Russia), return to Slovakia. Kvačala's rossica from his personal fund in Bratislava is published for the first time.
