Abstract

In December 2015, Russian foreign trade outlook was determined by a reduction of the world prices on commodities, mainly on oil, and correlated with it ruble’s depreciation. Import volume was shrinking by higher rates compared to export decline rates due to slowdown of economic growth and ruble’s devaluation as well as amid imposed international trade sanctions. As aresult, in 2015 trade balance remained positive.
