Abstract

Abstract This paper analyses the characteristics, mechanisms and development model of rural-urban transition in Shanghai's suburb in the light of general theory of rural-urban transition in urban dynamics. It puts forward countermeasures of coordinated development in order to solve some problems in the transition. It is the economic-social development process of urban dynamics in rural areas, which causes rural-urban transition. There are some special characteristics to be studied and some problems to be solved in Shanghai's suburbs', the biggest economic centre of China.
