Browning PhD FRS, Keith A. Browning PhD FRS Keith A. Browning. PhD FRS, President of the Royal Meteorological Society, has spent much of his research career using radar and satellites to study mesoscale phenomena and processes. He began his career studying severe thunderstorms under the guidance of Frank Ludiam. He also spent several years in the USA, initially at the then Air Force Cambridge Research Laboratories using radar techniques, and subsequently at the National Center for Atmospheric Research as Chief Scientist of the National Hail Research Experiment. Otherwise he has been with the Meteorological Office, for a long time at their Radar Research Laboratory at RSRE Malvern, and latterly at Bracknell where he is now Director of Research.Search for more papers by this author Keith A.
