Abstract
A Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) consists of a set of self organizing wireless mobile nodes deployed without centralized infrastructure. Nodes communicate with each other with a limited battery supply. Several routing protocols are presented at network layer considering transmission power, residual battery power. This work aims at increasing the network life time while reducing the energy consumption, minimizing the end to end delay. The Qual Net simulator is used for simulation and the results are compared with existing Ad Hoc on Demand Distance vector (AODV) protocol. The proposed model performs par excellence in terms of energy consumption with AODV under various CBR traffic.
