Abstract
The formation of L—S tectonite fabrics in the metamorphic nappe rocks of East Laksefjord, Finnmark, is accompanied by the rotation of contemporary folds into the X direction of the finite-strain ellipsoid. An interpretation based on the simple-shear model for active mobile belts is presented.
