Abstract
An experiment was performed to measure the effective delayed neutron fraction of a zero-power reactor (designated as the XIX-1 assembly) at the Fast Critical Assembly (FCA) facility operated by the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI). The measurements were performed using a Rossi-α technique known as the Nelson Number method. It was found that the effective delayed neutron fraction was 737 ± 20 pcm.
