Abstract

In the present article the author examines the ratio of the measure of projectness and the measure of romanticism while comparing the Russian and Soviet beginnings in their cultural-fi gurative relationship – with a discrepancy in the bearing semantic structures and vectors of development. The author hypothesizes that an empire, as a political and civilizational formation at the stage of ascent, is characterized by semantic unity with romanticism. The particular feature and distinction of the Soviet civilizational origin is romanticism, determined by the breakthrough and establishment in Russia of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries of the political phenomenon of scientifi c and technical romanticism, defi ned by the author as the unity born under the conditions created by the Age of Enlightenment, of – a)anthropological optimism; b) socio-political scientism; c) humanistic technocratism. The author discloses the meaning of all the above components in the present article.
