Abstract

The Orthodox Church has always maintained an essential and organic conceptual relationship between dogma and the spiritual life of both the Church as a whole and of Christians and individual members of the Church. The role of dogma in the life of Chirstians cannot be restrained to simply mental assertions of revealed truths but must permeate every aspect of the existence that we as believers, being a society of redeemed humans that showcase the restoration of all things in Christ, live on Earth until the coming age. In this study we will review important aspects of the therapeutic outlook on dogmas that the Orthodox Church in particular and Eastern Christianity in general has had since the beginning, discovering that what is commonly defined as “Orthodoxy” is nothing else than the right mode of existence which God, as our Creator, has intended for us since the Garden of Eden
