Abstract
The study aimed to find out the correlation between yoga in emotional maturity and quality of life and to know whether yoga affects emotional maturity and quality of life. This manuscript also correlates emotional maturity and quality of life with yoga experience among female & male college students. There were 160 female & 160 male PG and graduation level students practising yoga. Their experience of yoga in months and frequency of yoga practice in minutes per day were noted—emotional maturity and quality of life. Quality of life was determined using the scale, divided into social, psychological, economic and emotional maturity, divided into five domains, i.e., emotional stability, emotional progression, social adjustment, personality integration, and independence. Pearson correlation was carried out to assess the relationship between yoga experience in months, the intensity of yoga practice in minutes and dimensions of emotional maturity and quality of life. Design: cross-sectional research design- one-time assessment. Result: quality of life: 0.028 one-tailed. Emotional maturity: p<5.
