Abstract

Positron lifetime spectra for good quality, high purity crystals have been resolved into three components. The two shorter-lived components are independent of radiation-induced defects. Only τ 3 and I 3 are affected by changing the positive-ion vacancy and F-center concentrations over wide ranges.
