Abstract

Information Communication Technology (ICT) is an effective tool to generate, gather, store or preserve, use or retrieve, process or function, analyse or evaluate and distribute or transmit information and it is very effective in the field of law, both in enforcement of laws and the prosecution of the offenders. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of ICT in Police of Delhi. This paper gives the information regarding existing technologies and the technologies that are currently being used by the Delhi Police force. This study explores the various technologies available which can be adopted by Delhi Police for solving any case and for maintaining records. The findings of this paper will help the Police force to update their existing technologies and adopting new and advanced methods to solve cases quickly and more accurately.
